Over 900 members of our community, plus friends and family members from out-of-town came to see our Broadway, Jr. Production of the Annie, Jr. Musical this past May & July at the Strasburg Theater! Auditions will begin Thursday, 9/11/08 at 4:30 p.m. at the Strasburg Theater for Strasburg Youth in Arts' productions of the "Wizard of Oz" for youth in Grades 2-5 and "Grease" (school version) for youth in Grades 6-12. Young people should come prepared to sing a song of their choice (one that best demonstrates their range and abilities) and to demonstrate their acting skills by acting out a scene from their favorite movie or TV show, or providing a recitation of their choosing -- this selection should demonstrate the child's individual personality. Youth interested in non-acting parts (such as stage crew or set design) should also come to register on this date. Actual performance dates TBD. Call 465-1972 or visit www.bluefrogpurpledog.com

Auditions for "Strasburg Idol" begin Wednesday, October 1st at 6 p.m. at the Strasburg Theater for "Jr. Idol" for youth ages 7-17 and at 7 p.m. on the same date for "Sr. Idol" for ages 18 & up. Tryouts for the Strasburg Youth in Arts singing group "Complimentary Colors" will be held on Thursday 9/4/08 from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Strasburg Theater. Youth will sing a selection of numbers provided for them. Call 465-1972 or visit www.bluefrogpurpledog.com
